Shine a light on cleaning and other critically important scheduled staff activities with Aware Buildings' Button-Logging Solution


The  Button-Logging sensor solution records the last time a designated area or piece of equipment was disinfected or inspected. This sensor solution creates a log over time of cleaning and maintenance activities, which can help to enforce cleaning and sanitation schedules. This solution can limit liability, reinforce the feeling of safety for residents and strengthen new COVID reopening policies.

Simply instruct your staff to press the button assigned to each area when they have finished cleaning it. 

The logged button-press will:

  • ​Provide property managers with a clear view of whether cleaning schedules are being rigorously adhered to

  • Encourage staff to stay on top of their building hygiene responsibilities

  • Inform residents of the most recent cleaning performed on an area they wish to use


The Button-Logging solution can be used to enforce and manage an array of other recurring tasks that need to be recorded. Logged events can be viewed within the Aware Buildings dashboard when logged into the site, or by staff and residents within their respective BuildingLink app, or via their BuildingLink website.

  • $70 per sensor + $250 per hub + required data service fee

  • At least 1 sensor per piece of equipment or area is needed

  • The number of hubs needed can often be determined after reviewing your floor plan, but a physical site survey may be required.

  • The data service fee is a minimum of $100 per month, billed annually

  • The data service fee is $5 per sensor per month, and $50 per hub per month
